Do I need to be a non-resident of Florida?
No. Unlike Mutual Recognition, you can be a Florida resident and still apply by Endorsement as long as you have the required out-of-state experience.
I’m from a “Mutual Recognition” state. Is this the same thing?
Not exactly. Mutual Recognition is for residents of 10 specific states (like AL, GA, MS). Endorsement is a newer "safety valve" that allows agents from ANY state (like NY, TX, or CA) to qualify if they have enough experience.
What’s the reschedule/cancel rule?
Florida’s candidate booklet states you must cancel at least 2 days prior to your appointment to avoid penalties/fee loss.
What if I fail? Can I review what I missed?
Yes. Florida allows an exam review of your most recent attempt, limited to questions you answered incorrectly, and it must be requested within 21 days of the exam date.
How many times can I take the state exam?
You can retake it as needed while you remain eligible/authorized to test. If you don’t pass, consider scheduling focused practice by category before your next attempt.
How long is my 63-hour course completion valid?
Florida notes your course completion is valid for two (2) years from the date of completion, and you must present valid proof at the test center.
