FAQ about My Online Course

Why is my course missing from my account?

Two common reasons your course is missing from your account;

1.) Check to make sure your course has not expired.  When your course expires, it will no longer be available for you to access it.

  • You can get your course extended for up to six months past the original expiration date.

2) Check to make sure you are logging into the the right account.  Many times students will have two accounts and not realize they are logging into the wrong account.

  • Call Tech Support and they can determine if you have created more than one account.

Can I get a Extension on my Online Course?

Yes you can get your course extended by clicking on the help button in the menu bar.  Courses can be extended up to 6 months for $60, 3 months for $45 and 1 month for $30.

How can I get a Refund for my Online Course?

We have a refund policy in place.  You can get a refund as long as you have not gone past unit 1 and it has not been more than 7 days from the date of purchasing your course.

If you have gone past unit 1 and or it has been more than 7 days from the date of purchase, there will be no refund issued.

 

How do I access my eBook?

Please note, eBooks are provided through VitalSource®, our partner for online, downloadable, and mobile eBook fulfillment.

To begin, log in or create an account with your email address and password. This only takes a few moments.

After logging in:

  1. Click on Redeem in the top right corner of the navigation menu
  2. Enter the eBook redemption code(s)

How do I change my password in my Online Course?

 

Send us a email at [email protected] and ask for a password reset.  We will go in the portal and send you the info to reset your password.  You can also call tech support and get help with a password reset.

Can I speak to a Live Instructor?

Yes you can.  We have instructors available between the hours of 8am and 5:30pm. Monday through Friday.  If you send us a email with your questions, we will also answer them over the weekend and at night.

Do most people order the Narrated Video Course?

The fully narrated video course is very popular.  It is especially good for audio, visual learners.  Not everyone likes to just read text.  The video course has pictures and animations so it keeps your interest better and with the animations, added stories and explanations from the instructors  you can better comprehend the more complex subjects.

With the video course you still have the option to read the course material along with the instructor if want to.  You can also stop, start and rewind the videos as often as you like.

 

Is a Promo Code Available?

Promo Code RRES10 can be used to get $10 off your course.  The promo code will only work on the Pre Sales, Post Sales and Broker Course.

 

Is there a Military Discount for the Online Course?

No, we do not give a military discount for the online course.  Our online courses are prices at the lowest we can price them for everyone.  However, we do offer a $10 off  promo code for those who would like to take advantage of it.

What are the classroom hours?

Class starts at 8:30 am

10 min break at 10 am

1 hour lunch at 12:30 pm

10 min break at 3 pm

Dismiss at 5:30 pm

 

 

Can a Spouse Take Advantage of the Military Discount?

Only the spouse of a Active Military personnel can take advantage of the military discount for our classroom course only.

What Do I Need To Bring To Class?

You will need a highlighter, Pen, Paper, and a simple calculator.

 

Are Snacks and Drinks Permitted in Class?

Yes, snacks and drinks are permitted in the classroom as long as you keep your area clean and don’t disturb the class.

 

Is a Military Discount Available?

A military discount of 10% off is available for the classroom course only.  You can receive the discount by emailing us a copy of your DD-214 when you register online.

Students must have served in in a branch of the Armed Forces. These may include Army, Navy, Air Force, Coast Guard, National Guard and Marines.

Email a copy of your DD-214 to [email protected]  When you register for the course, you will see the option to take advantage of the military discount.

FAQ about The State Exam

What do I take to the testing center?

You MUST bring the Rowlett Real Estate School completion certificate for the required course to the exam center NOT the “wall certificate”.   A copy of the completion certificate is accepted.

You MUST bring two forms of valid non expired identification with you to your appointment.  One must be a photo bearing government issued identification.  Signatures are required to be on both forms of Identification.

If you do not have the required items with you, you will be considered absent and will be denied access to the examination room.  You will forfeit  the full examination fee.

What can I expect at the testing center?

 

Upon arriving, you will be asked for the items above, and will be given a form to fill out.  You will then be asked to stand in front of a camera for a picture that will appear on the pass/fail end of test form.

You will be asked to put your personal items in a locker and you can only take a non-programmable calculator in the testing room.  No food, drink, candy, or gum is allowed in the testing room.  No items are allowed in pockets of clothing, and Kleenex will be furnished if needed.  The testing room is monitored by cameras and a staff member will escort you in and out of the room.  The security rules are strictly enforced.  A pencil and a sheet of paper will be furnished for notes and math problems.

You will be escorted by a staff member into the testing room to a user friendly computer based terminal that will be used for the exam.  The staff member will give a brief explanation of how to use the testing equipment.

You will be given a total of 3.5 hours to complete the examination.  Use the time wisely.  The computer allows you to mark the questions that may need more time to answer and then go back to them once the easier questions are answered.

Remember, the goal is to answer as many questions correctly as possible, and this allows better use of the time.  There is no penalty for guessing. 

How often do I need to take my continuing education?

Florida licensees are required to renew their license every two years based on the issue date of the initial license. A total of 14 hours of continuing education is required.

Should I submit my State application online or by mail?

The school recommends you complete the application online because it is faster.   Payment is due when the application is submitted.  Payment can be made by credit card if submitting the application online, or by mailing a check in with the application.

Complete the application as honestly and accurately as you know how.

How soon after I complete my course should I take my State Exam?

Once your application is approved by the state and you have completed and passed the required course, we recommend you schedule with Pearson VUE test center to take the State Board Exam as soon as possible. Call 888-204-6289 or go online to www.pearsonvue.com to schedule your exam at one of the Pearson VUE test centers.  It’s best to make the appointment by phone as the appointment times are better updated.  Payment is due when making the appointment.

How will I know when my State application is approved?

You will receive a approval letter by email.  You can print it out for your records.  In the approval letter you will have a FLREAPP number.  You will need it to schedule your appointment for your State Test.
